If travelling from a distance this is the most direct route.
Take the M6 motorway leaving at Exit 34 (Lancaster) and follow the signs for the Bay Gateway By-pass towards the Port and Morecambe. Following the signs for the Port for approx 2.5 miles which will take you through 4 roundabouts and 1 major set of lights at the McDonalds crossroads.
At the end of the by-pass at the roundabout take the first exit and the Club is immediately on the right over the railway bridge.

Thank you to all my family and friends who attended my 70th birthday party.
Instead of presents I asked for a donation for our charity. So up to now we have raised nearly £500. Thanks for all the donations and thanks for a great night.
Anyone wanting to donate via our Just Giving page, Please click on the photo.
THANK YOU!
completed 4800k - 2,982.5 miles
Here is a year update on the fund raising.
I have completed 4800 k to date, less than I wanted but I am still keeping going until Christmas, so I can reach my target.
Joanne
The school held a Penny Flag Challenge
where they had the Ukranian flag in school and pupils, parents and staff all brought in coins to cover the flag to raise money for the people of Ukraine affected by war. They had a fantastic response and raised £550, which was passed to the Ripple Effect, who used this donation for the transport costs to send out much needed clothing and toiletries to the Ukranian refugees.
Thank you so much for your kind generosity.
6 months since I started to raise money for The Ripple Effect there is another crisis. Ukraine need our support so I have made the decision to close this page to transfer funds to the charity sooner. There is already great need for aid for people arriving in the country and without your donations this would not be possible. Aid donations are greatly received. If anyone can donate anything else to this page it would help so much! 1272km completed and a long way to go so I will continue to post updates through The Ripple Effect website. Thank you
Joanne has now done the second part of her challenge, when she had her hair shaven to raise awareness of the plight of refugee women and she is donating her hair to The Little Princess Trust. About the Little Princess Trust (littleprincesses.org.uk)
Please keep donating as she is also still doing her walking.
Thank You!
walking back after walking kids to school,
all helps towards my end goal.
Joanne started her challenge on 1st September and during September
has completed 51.5 km = 32 miles.
All donations welcome, £5 is a good amount and helps the cause.

Joanne Vallance Davies is raising money for the Ripple effect to help support refugees by walking/running the distance from Kabul to Liverpool (5,868 k = 3,646 miles).
In addition to this she is also shaving her head to symbolise freedom, something which the women of Kabul no longer have. She is donating her hair to The Little Princess Trust as not to waste it.
Joanne is a mum of 4 from Liverpool she is currently on maternity leave, so a full time mum at the moment. When in work she is a Residential Childcare officer for Knowsley Council.
Help to raise money by logging onto her page on the just giving web site and leave a donation.

Thanks to everyone who supported our fund raising event last night. A great night featuring the band "Last Bus", the great organist Peter Jetson and not to be forgotten, Debrina Tierney with her line dancing friends.
Everyone who attended contributed to it being the success it was.
It was brilliant to see so many people enjoying themselves and raising funds for such a good cause.
Thanks also to The Ship Hotel for providing the bar. Everything was excellent.
Once again we had a very successful fashion show.
We would like to thank everyone involved for helping us to make it such a great success.
We hope that once the Lockdown is over we may be able to hold another one maybe in 2022?
